Back to the classroom

After four weeks of teaching online, I am sitting in my campus office preparing to teach in person this afternoon. We don’t know how this grand experiment is going to work, especially with omicron numbers trending down, but still quite high.

I wore a surgical mask in the fall when I taught so that I could keep my reading glasses on. No such luck with a KN95 mask, which is what I have now. I will feel as if I am shouting when I am lecturing, and will have to present my slides through a squint to read them without glasses.

Nonetheless I am happy to be back in the groove, just not sure we won’t be moving back online at some point this quarter. There are still too many variables.
